Hosts:
David Sutton
David R. Sutton, the 26 year-old Colorado native and resident and a recent graduate from the University of Denver Daniel's College of Business as a Master of Business Administration in finance has just started a new company called Job Median. David also has a BA in economics from the University of Colorado in Boulder. David has been providing business consulting to several organizations over the past few years and has had wide exposure to many industries from subprime auto finance to clothing wholesale.
The idea for David's new venture, www.JobMedian.com , came to him during his academic career at DU. "I was watching fellow students struggle to find jobs as they were nearing the end of their academic careers and I saw an opportunity to help them," says Sutton, "by utilizing the friendships and connections they have built in their online social networks." And from that the idea of a Web 2.0 service that leverages online social networks to help job seekers find contacts, they may already know at potential employers, was born.
David's experience with start-up companies includes Universal Special Auto Finance, U-SAF and a clothing line called Birdie. U-SAF is an auto finance company that has developed a unique and innovative finance platform that deliver consistent yields to its investors. Birdie is a women's golf inspired clothing line that has received tremendous praise. Its clothes have been featured and worn on several television shows including E! News, Desperate Housewives, and Grey's Anatomy.
Through his exposure to many industries, auto finance, auto racing, wholesale clothing distribution, and sports entertainment, David Sutton has gained a great scope of experiences that he consistently draws on to create innovative solutions to problems.
